What are Democrats doing to abolish the crime of slavery?
Slavery is a crime. It is occurring today in America. And what are Democrats doing to abolish the crime of slavery, besides defunding the police?
What are Republicans doing to abolish the crime of slavery?
1. Republicans are working to educate the public that slavery is real and occurs today, and to avoid diluted terms such as “trafficking”, or even “modern day slavery”. Slavery is slavery, let’s call it that. Slavery has occurred throughout history, and slavery is occurring all over the world today, including in America. Whites, blacks, children, and Chinese, are all victims of slavery.
2. Republicans are working to amend and improve laws against slavery. Currently 18 U.S. Code Chapter 77 contains specific laws relating to slavery. However, these laws need to be made current with today’s slavery practices. The “Abraham Lincoln Abolish Slavery Act” should be passed by Congress (see Law page).
3. Republicans are working to ensure police and law enforcement at all levels are respected and fully funded in their mission to reduce all crime.
4. Republicans are working to acknowledge that slavery is not just a crime, but a heinous crime that deserves the ultimate consequence—capital punishment. Republicans are working to ensure that only the guilty are convicted of slavery. And in cases where a slavery crime occurred when there is no reasonable doubt who the guilty person is, it is justice for the guilty to bear the ultimate burden.
5. Republicans are working to promote economic prosperity in America, and throughout the world. Slavery often occurs where the economic conditions are poor, and people take chances for a better life, only to be seized by predators. Inflation has been called the World’s greatest scam, and Republicans are working to reduce government spending that leads to inflation.
6. Republicans are working to establish that free speech and freedom of the press are human rights that apply to Americans and to all citizens throughout the world. Slavery is best concealed from the public when communication is censored, including censorship on social media.
7. Republicans are working to improve the curriculums in public schools and teach high school students about the dangers of slavery.
8. Republicans are lobbying members of Congress to pass more laws, such as the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, that ban trade with foreign countries where slavery exists.
9. Republicans ae lobbying the United Nations to take efforts to stop rampant slavery in one of the hot spots in the world for slavery, especially child slavery, the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
10. Republicans are working to elect more Republicans to public office. Republicans are best able to foster freedom, prosperity, and reduction of all crimes.
In the same way that slavery was a moral challenge for the 19th century and totalitarianism was a challenge for the 20th century, the challenge that women and girls face around the world is the moral challenge of our time.
—Sheryl WuDunn
For every 130 girls or women on the planet, one is a modern slave

Ending Cobalt Slavery in the DRC
BATH, U.K. — More than 50% of all cobalt is buried in Congolese earth, with more than 70% of the global cobalt supply emanating from the nation. Cobalt fuels lithium batteries, which power phones, laptops and electric cars across the globe. The rapid rise of the electric car may multiply the demand for cobalt by as much as twenty-fold come 2050. But, what Tesla drivers and iPhone tappers may not realize is that cobalt slavery powers the industry. The Good Shepherd International Foundation aims to address cobalt slavery in the DRC.
